I have him in a different home for rehab now and they have taken care of the vertigo with a patch behind his ear until he can be examined by an ENT specialist. 9 days has been used in Forsyth Rehab with no rehabilitation, leaving us with an out of pocket for the co-insurance. I've also spoken with several other people who had a horrible experience there, stating they wouldn't send their dog to this place.
My husband was in rehab there for 9 days. Rehab was impeded by his inability to sit up without vomiting or vertigo. Instead of trying to resolve that issue, he was forced to sit up in a wheelchair vomiting. Their staff was very thin. Call lights were constantly going unanswered and my husband laid in his waste for as much as an hour before someone would come to assist him. I attended to his hygiene, cleaning him up after bowel movements because of the very slow response. His vomiting was so serious, that I had to have them call an ambulance to transport him back to the hospital. He was so distressed from this experience that they had to give him atavan at the hospital to calm him down. He lose 38 pounds in 9 days.
